About Us


Eco Meats is a specialist home kill and recreational catch meat processor based in the Manawatu/Rangitikei area. We have over 30 years experience in the butchery business.

 

Jeremy, our master butcher, finished his trade qualifications in 1994. Since then he has worked in numerous butcheries in a variety of leadership roles. In 2000 he joined the team at the prestigious Blackball Salami Company on the South Island's West Coast. His role as lead butcher/smallgoodsman included quality assurance. In 2007, a move to Wellington resulted in Jeremy making sausages and other product for the popular Island Bay Butchery.

 

Eco Meats was born after Jeremy and his wife purchased a small block of land in the Manawatu.
